FEES AND SCHEDULE:
Lessons at the HERITAGE HARP CENTER follow the academic schedule followed by the Hillsboro School District. Major holidays and vacation days are observed and lessons are organised accordingly.
All lessons should be paid in advance either Quarterly or Monthly.
Individual lessons last 30 minutes in duration and cost $30 per lesson
Group lessons are 45 minutes to an hour and cost $20 per lesson.
If a group lesson is requested, a time that will suit all parties will be sought within the parameters of my existing schedule. Group lessons are oganised with students of comparable ages and skill levels in mind.
RENTING OR OWNING A HARP:
If you do not already own a harp, I am willing to offer my suggestions on what would be the best harp for your needs.
For smaller children, I suggest a “Lap Harp” Model such as the Sharpsicle made by William Reese Instruments. For tall children, Teenagers, and Adults, I would suggest a larger harp, preferably 34 strings, light string tension, and folk string spacing, such as the Camac harp models Hermione or Aziliz, as well as the forthcoming Thormahlen Sionainn model. Again, if you wish to have advice on what harp may be the best choice, please don’t hesitate to ask.
